Knowle Weekly Update - 05/10/25 |
||
Hello, This week we have once again conducted Speedwatch’s in particular areas where we caught 18 vehicles in one hour – with the fastest speed recorded was 48 in a 30mph zone! Speeding has become a priority for our team as we are well aware of the dangers it poses to the community. We are aiming to increase our Speedwatch sessions in different locations as well as making use of our Pro-Laser Speed Gun to issue more fines and educate drivers on their use of speed.
What crime has happened in the last 9 Days?
Crime prevention advice: Make sure to check your locks for the symbol to make sure they are anti-snap. This is the most prevalent method of entry in the burglaries that we have. Once again, we are reminding everyone the usefulness of Faraday bags and steering wheel locks as extra precautions which could save your vehicle from being taken. CCTV is a really useful tool for us to use in investigations as it allows us to see the offence happening, any offenders and what they are wearing or a direction of travel in their escape. If you haven’t already, sign up to our CCTV registry to receive alerts when your footage may help us with incidents in your area - CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police
